What about my wife's cat? It's been gone about 3 days now, and she can't find it. Could you help her BB, hmm?

That's a can of worms I would not have open. Normally I'd say your either brave or crazy. But, since your are local sane one, you must be brave.

What’s the best way to detach the chrome cobalt letters and reattach? I presume they are held on with adhesive but what’s the best type to use for reattachment?

Depends how good are you with a razor blade, exact knife and a heat gun.
Use a hair dryer/heat gun. Warm up the emblem soften up the adhesive. Use a plastic putty knife or plastic razor blade. Get under the emblem and lift it off. Use 3m adhesive remover or googone to remove what adhesive left on the gel coat. Then you have to remove the adhesive from the emblem.
Now the fun part. Get 3m 2 sided tape wide enough to cover the whole letter. Put the tape on the letter. Then you have to cut out the tape on the emblem. If your not good at it, it will look like crap. Don't cut the chrome. Then put masking tape on your boat so you can put them on straight and evenly spaced. Not clean the gel again and stick it on the boat.
Or spend some cash and go to your dealer and buy new ones. I think around 10 bucks a letter.

Those %@$#%^ fender clips did it to me again. Last year, they got caught on a dock and cost me $1,000. This year, the fenders tore off my "T" and mangled my "L". I hate those things. All the dealers are closed here, so I called the the dealer that BBP recommended. $20 per letter.

Man that stinks. I guess I wouldn't use them but it will still happen.

I got in touch with the dealer in WI and talked to the actual parts guy and he quoted me about $56 for the whole COBALT. I was going to just buy them and then he said shipping would be $30. I said, I'll try my dealer. Called on Tuesday and left a message. Still no return call.
