Garttx,
Thanks! We are picking ours up on Wednesday and we are really excited as well. I agree completely that the team at Lakeshore has been great to work with, they do things the right way. Where are you going to do most of your boating?

I've had ceramic coating on two of my three boats and we are having it applied to our R8S when it gets here. Both times we've had it applied our boat wipes down so much easer and looks new.

Ceramic coating is essentially a longer lasting wax. It goes on very similar and is buffed off, but lasts a couple years.

As evmolinar mentioned earlier, very easy to do yourself.

I think the wax lasts longer than you keep the boat so why spend the money? 😂😂

Captain I have to tell you I was surprised at how large the boat appeared on the trailer! I didn’t get an exact measurement but the boat and the trailer was 35 feet long give or take 6 to 12 inches.

The height on trailer was all of 13 feet if not 6 inches more. We were doing estimates with the tape measure quickly.

The boat is exactly what we wanted. I have some more pictures attached. I know it will be smaller when it gets in the water but man it look huge!! We are very happy and can’t wait to get it completed. With that said does anybody have an opinion on the ceramic coating?
Beautiful boat. I have R6 Surf same color. It’s awesome!

Just an update. Ordered R8S late August. Went into production 1st week of December and I was told this week it should be complete the first week of February.

Similar for me. Ordered our R6 early October. Just heard from my rep that they began production Jan 4 with an estimated delivery date to be early/mid february. He said typically 4 to 5 weeks from the spray date to completion.

My boat came in to the dealer! We ordered early October, they never gave me a build date they said it would be February for delivery. My dealer said that cobalt called up sort of out of the blue and said boat was ready.

2022 R8S 380 VP She sit's on boatmate trailer. we put the tower down and measure 11'6 inches so she'll fit in my garage.

Why the triple axle trailer? I thought 5k lb axles were the norm and no way that boat is even close to 10k lbs??

Wow, beautiful boat and great surprise. I am so glad to hear the 11' 6" as I have been worried that mine wouldn't fit in my toy box! My R7S would fit in without lowering the tower but for some reason the 8"s seem to sit a lot higher on the trailer than the 7's. I wonder how they schedule builds as I ordered mine in August and it is still in production?
