Odd because I saw them when he first posted them. Now they are gone and the new ones are working.

I took the motorized PowerLight out and found the problem. Looks like a solder broke off on one of the two wires that send power from the hub to the light bulb terminals. Here are some photos incase anyone else runs into the same issue.

I had to add a bit of wire to extend it back to solder the connection. I also melted that piece into the plastic housing so that there's no chance of it wiggling around and shorting out.

Don't forget to check for continuity to the bulb terminals

The mast connection to the motor housing was loose, so I removed it, cleaned out the matting surfaces and used some adhesive to lock it back into position.

And last, don't forget to spray the housing down with your favorite rubber sealing coating. I like to use PlastiDip because it provides a good barrier against moisture and from my experience it has been more durable than others I have tried in the past.

I wanted a new bimini, but all the prices were way too high for my appetite. And the quality in my opinion isn't there to justify some of these prices. I also wanted one that sits slightly higher than the OEM Cobalt unit I looked around and found a very well reviewed bimini on Amazon. Ordered it up and it fits in the OEM location well, but one problem, the rear legs aren't long enough. Since the OEM Cobalt bimini main supports are on the window frame the rear supports don't reach far enough to get to the fiberglass hull. So I ordered up some 1 inch aluminum anodized tubing and am working on making my own rear legs. I also ordered up some nice stainless quick release fixtures (I don't like the plastic ones).

Got the pieces cut and deburred today. And also got the rivets drilled out of the old poles so that I can reuse the black end caps on the new poles. Will update once it's finished, hopefully my measurements are right.

I forgot to post photos of the radio setup. It's not completely done yet, but here's where I'm at so far.

Installed a new JVC headunit. I'm using an external amp to power the speakers, so I opted for a mid-level headunit that does what i need. Along with new 12V outlets on the outside and the middle one is a dual fast charge USB plug along with voltage readout. All on the refinished mounting plate and with new stainless hardware. I also installed a JVC remote in the swim deck area:







I also installed a second battery along with a two battery Perko switch. I haven't had time to get new AGM batteries yet, so these are two good marine batteries I had in the garage. They're doing okay for now.




I'm still not sure how I feel about the re-upholstered rear deck. What do you guys think? Keep it as is or have it re-done again?

I put that exact JVC head unit in my 95 252 when we did a big stereo upgrade earlier this year. I have been extremely impressed with it. I used a high end shop to have the stereo installed and they said the recommend that head unit all the time. I thought it was an incredible value at less than $150. We have 4-5 phones that can link up to it at any time depending on who is with us, and I love that it doesn't "forget" your device when you turn the battery switch off.

I like those met basket things in the engine bay. First time seeing something like that.
Now buy some gunk purple engine dsgreaser and get that bilge area cleaned up. A little scrubbing and she will look like new.

I had those net bags in both 240s. They're pretty handy wet storage.
