I keep mine at Harbor point also. Talk to lee about my old spot that I had my 220 in. It fit with tower up no problem. Had to get a new spot for the R5. Its is delivering there on Friday. Been waiting on stereo upgrade at Blue Creek but with the construction going on there they have not had a chance to work on it. Made 1st boat payment and have not even set foot on it yet! Driving me crazy!!
I spoke with Lee today in person. I told them they are going to have to do a better job when the new boat comes in. I am so sick and tired of seeing a black shoe foot print on the seats and they just rip the cover off in some half assed manner etc. The guys just sometimes don’t think or give a damn. When I called to have them summerize the boat, they took the cover off, summerized the boat, then put it back on the rack. Ask me if they put the cover back on. NOPE, then I get to the boat today and it has some oil or grease that dripped on it from the boat above. ARGH!!! If I gave it to them with the cover on it, why not put it back on? He said they will do better.
Glad I am not the only one that has been having this conversation with them! Drives me nuts when they leave dirty shoe prints on the seats getting in and out of a boat with a walk through transom!! Had a problem last year with a leak in the roof of the dry storage (mine was on top rack). Took a daily grip session of about 2 weeks for them to fix it. Left rust colored stain on my back pad. I feel your pain!
I too am currently on the top rack! Which made me even more confused where the stuff on my boat came from... I got a quote from Blue Creek today, $30 per month cheaper.. Doubt I will leave, but I have a feeling they may take a little better care since they are a Cobalt dealer.. But who knows. I am emailing Lee now to check on the leak.

Interesting reading about rack storage. I would imagine the porter who is possibly a $7.25 per hour kid may not have developed his “ Give a $hit” behavior yet.
Are you allowed to watch the process of them putting it away? Drain plug.. covers? Can you leave the boat ready to be stored? Just curious

They don't let you in to see them put it away. I usually leave it ready for storage. Battery cut off, cover snapped on, but I have seen them open up other boats to verify the battery is cut off before pulling out of the water. I plan on making a tag that I can hang on the back of the transom to let them know its off so they can just put it away without opening back up.

I would explode if I found my boat like that. I'm afraid I would turn into a total Richard, and everyone there would k ow me by first name. Minimum wage or attitude or whatever... You don't treat a customers boat like that.

My wife and I have been Cobalt fans for some time. We are both excited, and a little nervous at the same time. Looking forward to joining the Cobalt community online and learning from much more seasoned boaters. Here is a picture of our boat.
When are you taking her out on the water?

We are having a few things done currently. The boat had not been buffed/polished yet since it had only been at the dealership a couple days before we bought it. They are having to buff and even wet sand a few minor scratches that were on the boat with delivery, something I was honestly surprised by. You’d think Cobalt would make sure it was perfect before leaving the factory. Also they installed transom speakers and my car guy is doing a detailed polish followed by ceramic coating. Just due to scheduling, we’ll be getting it to the Ridge Marina on April 15th.

Awesome! Yes I learned about this as well. I finalized all my paperwork last week. Still no boat. So crazy. I have never even seen the boat yet, but it is insured under my name and I have purchased it. Ha! Seems pretty much opposite from everything else I have purchased. They told me as well they have detail it etc when it arrives. The anticipation is killing me. I have been looking up videos on how to install the mooring cover and open the Bimini top on the tower. Purchased some sentry fenders from Mission and some Cobalt fender covers for my regular fenders. I am just ready for it now.

Welcome from Guntersville Lake, '15 R5, sandstone with black accent stripe. Enjoy that mighty fine boat; she'll purr like a kitten. Nothing like a Cobalt.
