Real tow boats aren't built for speed, they're stump puller designed to plow and still be able to cruise at a reasonable speed. Lack of trim makes them severely lacking in ride comfort at speed in anything but dead calm water. They throw a WAY better wake for surfing and wakboarding than any of the stern drive surf models hands down. Give and take, really depends on the how the boat us used. I didn't buy a wake boat because we do too much cruising, and the Chain is so shallow I'm not comfortable not being able to trim up when needed.
All they need a BBQ going with some dogs grilling.
Man you have to have some stones to drive something like that, no windshield, no harness. Just props in the water. Smallest chop and you could possibly be dead. IDK if you would see me catching a ride on that toon! I've been on a 38ft cigarette top gun at LOTO before with twin 525's and at 80mph you run out of lake really fast.

yeah, and that one went 114mph at LOTO for world record, complete insanity.

Regal had some nice boats! The LS models are really nice! I really liked the LS6 - great size, great cockpit layout.

No way I'm in that pontoon boat at 114 mph! I've had some scary moments in boats at 70-85 mph and the only way I'm going that fast again in a boat is an offshore racer or a 35 foot or bigger center console with quad 350's. I'm damn happy with 49 mph in the R5!

Hey Rickey glad to see you back . So you went to the Boat show. Yeah I gave Regal kuddos as well especially for the Bimini . Wonder why Cobalt only tried a single step hull on the 343 and not on other models? Never mind I’m thinking out loud.

The Regal LS6 cockpit design seems so open. I have a 2017 R5, and I sometimes find it's tough to move around with a few people on the boat. Cobalt talks about "space reclamation", but I think the Regal has a lot more room.

The problem is the swim platform is now figured into the total length. The R5 is really a 23’ boat. You can only do so much with it. There is a big difference between the R5 and the R7. A couple feet can make all the difference.
