Haha yes and the one by my house in St Louis. It was 2 separate exhibits. An aquarium and the second was just a wild life exhibit that talked a lot about the history of the wildlife in North America. Really interesting. All and all it took about 3hrs to get through the 2 of them.cmattj wrote: Fri Dec 28, 2018 9:56 pm That’s a bit more than the Bass pro by us. Wow that’s looks fun! For the kids ofcourse. Lol

Very nice displays. It seems they take the local history and blend it well. A Gar is amazing to see. Great share.!Ytmsn wrote: Sat Dec 29, 2018 8:53 am
The Bass Pro Headquarters in Springfield is pretty cool to tour. I was suprised at the size of the exhibits, museums and Bass Pro "decor", let alone all the cool retail stuff. Just like this stair banister made of flintlock rifles.

There is a museum on the history of the business, and one on Wildlife. Lots of exhibits with the world record gar stuffed that's over 8' long and one an inch or so shorter alive in a tank. These things are very docile but it still freaks me out to think they're in the water with us...

For the Nascar fans there is a Nascar museum too, with several cars and trucks on display. (I'm not a Nascar fan, but my nephews go ape crazy in there).
And I am always amazed at the checkout area. Its literally like walking across the bottom of a lagoon. They've made the ceiling to look like the top of the water, with the bottoms of boats, fishing lines with bobbers, the bottom of ducks, fish swimming, the bottom of trees and brush and structure, and the floor painted to make it feel like you're walking across the bottom. Pretty cool...
