Only thing I wasn't sure of, and still continue to question myself on, is whether I should've order the docking lights. I had them originally on my build sheet, and then once I saw the new 2018 LED lights, I took them off. IMO, they are too small of a footprint, for such a large hull side. The old docking lights, (which were much more expensive), looked beautiful. The new ones, not so much, and I took them off order. Thoughts??

Here is a picture of my 220S I dropped off today at Stokley's. Even though the R5 isn't estimated to arrive until middle of May, they went ahead and took mine today to get it reconditioned, detailed, and ready for sale. I owned the 220 for 18 months, purchased August of 2016. Put about 45 hours on it.
A couple guys on here might be interested in that beauty. Would you sell it on here?

For what's it's worth I agree with you. Love the looks of the older docking lights. The new ones, well not so much. For me it's more about looks than function. I think I've use my docking lights once. So if you dont like the looks I think you made the right call.

Man and there was just one member that ordered a new boat or bought from stick was looking for this same boat.
I myself would order the docking lights. Or they are prewired just buy the old style you like and have the dealer install them. What engine package was in your old boat. Why are you trading it in? Why did you want to go larger? I know stupid question.

I wouldn’t think twice about it. I have docking lifts and they’re useless. It’s actually better to keep everything dark at night. The light messes with your ability to see in the dark. If you need functionality get an LED spotlight to flash if you need it but the lights are completely useless.

I got tax credit on the trade, so I'd have to refer you to Stokleys as it made sense to trade versus selling outright.

My 220 has 4.5L Mercruiser 250HP, Bravo III outdrive. I traded it for more room in the boat. We have 3 kids, 14,12,and 10 as well as two 70lb labradoodles, and I just felt the 220 was a bit cramped. Kids usually like to bring a friend, and the dogs love to hang out on back swim deck, and when they would get back in boat and shake off, everyone would get wet. The R5 has a larger swim platform, and more room to move around. I also love the new dual screen cockpit, and Delmar Captains chair.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking too. I have a LED spot, keep it in a covered slip which is all lit up at night anywaz, so it's really more for looks than anything, and the new look is terrible as they are way too small on the hullside.

I agree as I don't boat at night but they look cool in the garage. One of my boats didn't have so bought them because I just liked the looks of them.
I personally would add them after the fact.
Also I wouldn't pay $200 for a air compressor that costs $45. Buy the docking lights with the spare cash.lol
I would order the flag though :-)

I agree BBP they look pretty cool just not a whole lot of utility.

Cycle I’m in the same situation I’m in a slip and they are TIGHT but there’s some parking lot lighting and the few times I have come back at night it hasn’t been an issue at all.

Like BB said. If you change your mind down the road just add the older style.

Ok another thought. They look very close to the same size as the old ones. Are they the same size? Pay for them have the factory cut the hole and remove them and put the old style in. I think they were $75?

Noticeable difference in size.
They still use the nice cans on the R-30 and up, but truth be told, the light output is a joke.
And truth be told again, I bought them strictly for looks, and looks only. The ramps where we launch are lit up like a Supermax prison..

I don’t know if I would trust anyone to cut holes in my bow. If they miss?😱😱😱😱
