I used to grill from our boat a lot back when we had the pontoon. Now that we have the Cobalt, I don't allow food anywhere on the boat except for the sun pad. And even then, it MUST be non-staining, and not "dusty" (i.e. cheeze-it's or doritos).

Somewhere deep inside of me just says fire grill boat just didn't go together.

But lots of people do it and enjoy it. Sweet boat though. Just keep it away from the fuel vent too.

The grill doubles as a gas fume arrestor!

Just kidding...

Love our Magma grill on our boat. We drink red wine on our boat too! We sometimes wear shoes on our boat. Oh the horror!

Hopefully, those drinking said red wine, are adults, and can be trusted with such beverages.
I find most kids, especially those that did not come from my loins, are not quite as respectful as adults, and aren't as careful most times.. I did say most. Don't get me wrong, we have plenty of fun on ours without the risk of staining the interior portions. :P

We're still no smoking, no pets, no wine, no shoes.
I had to break the last one a little last year when I was in a walking boot.
Rules back in place this year.
The only un-usual rule we have, the person who drinks the most (my wife), gets to dock the boat.

No different than guests who drink wine at my house on my sofas with either carpet or area rugs. probably WAY less damage can occur in my boat compared to my home.

It's a boat...not some priceless antique. I enjoy my boat and going out on a sunset cruise floating around Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe would be pretty freaking boring if you didn't have a glass of wine.

It's also the advantage of having the boat at the dock in the back yard. Can make the ride home as slow as you want.

I had a windshield mounted mirror on my first Cobalt, bit it damaged the stainless steel frame. I saw this mirror on the CC forum and bought it. It clamps nicely to the frame with no damage.
Thanks for the advice.

Those are very nice upgrades, excellent work!

Regarding the table mount backing plate can you provide specifics as to size, material, source, etc?

I purchased everything from Taco Marine. I purchased 2 plates (Part Number - F40-0018WHC-A) for the install. One plate is used against the fiberglass and mates with the holding bracket (Part Number F16-0080). I used the other plate on the backside of the storage compartment. It's not a metal plate, but it still distributes the load of the bracket. I also used two different sized stainless steel washers on the back side of the plate. The table post part number is F16-0005A. I recommend 1/4 -20 stainless 2.5 inch bolts for the install. The plates are made of a nylon or plastic material.
