So if you had to list the top 3 or 4 places "bang for buck" to stay where would they be? We would also want to rent a slip on location.

Personally I would suggest staying on IP as you have the best chance of renting a unit and a slip. Outside of IP, KC has at least one resort I know of that has docks and its the same company that owns the resort our condo is in. Table Rock Resorts is the name of that resort (there is one on IP where we stay and one in KC that has pretty killer views of the main channel) and has slips available at either location. TBH not sure how much "value" you will get, IMO most condos are overpriced for what you get (I am shocked by how much ours goes for on a nightly basis in peak season). Never stayed at any of these places but as far as best bang for buck I'd suggest looking at Alpine Resort, Dooley's, or the Tribesman (all of these are on IP and all have docks for rent I believe). Other resorts on IP are Treehouse, Rockwood, Stillwater (lots going on here - if you have kids this might be the winner), Watermill Cove (high end), and the Villages. Again, pretty sure all have slips available for rent.

If you end up staying in KC I would recommend Table Rock Resorts purely for the view and access to slips. Its pretty awesome depending on the unit you get. If you stay on IP then I guess its really up to your budget more than anything else.

On the Branson side of the lake there is Chateau and Big Cedar. There are some nightly rentals available around the Stormy Point area I believe with dock access as well. Gets you a little closer to Branson proper if thats your thing.

There are also various one off houses that do nightly rental but dont expect those to come with any dock access. Corp wont allow individually deeded slips to be rented out.

The week I was in Branson we launched daily. Good ramps but I would rather rent a slip at the marina. Lots of resorts that are a 10 min drive to the lake from Branson. We stayed at a place with an indoor slide....perfect for BBP

I love slides!
Dooley was great. Treehouse is great. We stayed at a few low dollar hotels on IP then keep your boat at IP. It all works out just fine. Few of us will now be at alpine and they have slips.

We are vacationing earlier in the year this year so July I believe is pretty open. For the record we were pretty damned disappointed about cancelling that last year. Doubly so because our condo was rented out that entire week because we thought we’d be gone.

Enjoy it and post pics. I had plans to try and make it, but we were stripped of accrued vacation last year (300 hours)...option was that or layoffs, so I'll just watch from the interwebs.

YT is right. Get anywhere you can with a slip. They get super hard to come by the later you wait. We will be back at Treehouse this year with two other couples. We all were lucky enough to book rooms with slips.

Gonna be camping at Campbell Point. Been so long since we've been to the regatta, we're excited to get back to one. Our last time we won a set of coasters.
Excited to meet all of you as well.
