Thanks to BBP feeding my OCD, I was back out this morning determined to find the UW light harness in the engine box. I crammed my overweight, 6’2”, 51yo body into the port side of the engine box to get closer to the battery and bundle of connectors. While I had already found the cap call, rudder indicator, etc back here, I hadn’t seen anything for the UW lights. But once crammed in the bowels of the boat, I saw a connector with an obstructed label zip tied tight. After removing the zip tie, I discovered: “Light underwater port”. But you know what this means. Now I have to find starboard

Starboard located. Also was tucked away. Of course it is 2 inches from reaching the connector and I don’t have cutters and zip ties. Next time.

I’m selling the R5. The light buttons may or may not do what they say.

Mine light up, I believe it is when I turn on the Nav lights but don't remember for sure. Only half lit up when I received it, had to get it fixed under warranty.

Names definitely don't land never did illuminate with nav lights on. Can anyone else confirm if they are supposed to. Maybe there just not hooked up, but just look like they are just ingraved and not back lit.

This must be a common problem. My first R7 had this issue as did my second. Warranty fixed both times but this is concerning. (They are all supposed to be lit, of course)
