Callen, what’s your top speed on the cs22 with that 300?
Haven’t really had ideal conditions to test it out.. always loaded down with people and gas it seems. I don’t think I’ve gotten much above 50 as of now. Definitely shoots nicely out of the hole, and even cruising at about 3k rpms, hitting the throttle results in a nice snap of acceleration. I’m happy with it.

Update:
I talked to my dealer today to find out when the new panels will be in. I was told that Cobalt is still testing to find ones that won't stain/discolor/whatever it is.

Interesting, they must be doing a full redesign. Be interested to see what they come back with.

Hopefully they will have something before our warranty expires! I can’t imagine redesigning, testing, etc is a quick process..

update... I spoke with Cobalt directly. Still no updates on this interior. Apparently, they are waiting on samples from their supplier to test. I'm trying to stay patient, but this design flaw is really beginning to drag on with no definite dates/fixes yet.

I just got off the phone with my dealer who is supposed to be replacing the dash panels under warranty while the boat is in storage. All they said is that Cobalt acknowledged the problem and in the process of sending replacements. I asked if they would be the same material or redesigned, and they were under the impression they were simply replacement panels made of the the same stuff. Kind of disappointing as they will just end up looking bad again after another season. You would think it would be behoove them to change the design as they are going to end up replacing 90% of the panels they produce.

You never know what caused it. It could just be the adhesive. Maybe they didn't use 3m (bum)
And what we don't know is what did they change? If they are seeing issues they will update that part. It may look the same but something is diff glooming inside of it. They know better. They just won't tell us What they change. We will find out this summer I guess. Good luck guys and keep us informed. Or I'll talk to dad and he will get it straightened out even if he has to stop the line

There isn't adhesive. They are metal panels with screws holding them in.
Going to reach out to them again.

I still think the best solution for your case is have the replacement panels sent out for hydrodipping before the dealer installs them. You can get the same color or make it personal, they can do just about anything in dipping these days.

Let me know what you hear. I’ve had a few unanswered emails that I sent to Stevie Cook with customer service regarding their plan for the panels.

I've heard back from Dwight at Cobalt and my dealer. Approximately 4 weeks. They have the new panels and paint process approved. Just need to get them made and out to dealer.

I just purchased a CS22 (maybe the same dealer as you Callen841). I am very interested to know what the new panels are like. I can tell from the MSO that my boat was shipped to my dealer on 1/20/20 but I doubt they had time to make a change by whenever mine was built. Please keep us updated and thanks for raising awareness of this issue!

Will do! We got ours at Pinecrest Marine. You? They have been great to work with regarding this issue.
