Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Boat scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning. We are going to launch her and do a short shakedown to move her to her slip. If you read of the news of a Cobalt running ashore in Boston Harbor, it's not me, I promise
Come on Techie... Be a Unicorn!

Well, I ran ashore. Intentionally. Trailer had electrical/light issue. Then the driver had to stop to sleep. So the boat is scheduled to arrive at 6....so it will go right to the yard/dry dock. At least I'll be able to wash it up and organize it before it launches.
It's just too bad that I lose a perfectly gorgeous long weekend due to the hauling issues

Since when do you go boating with the trailer

dunk it and then fix the trailer!

Unfortunately, I cannot launch the boat myself, I'm too new for that. And my helper was only available Saturday until early afternoon. So I'm landlocked until the yard can splash her on Tuesday. Oh well.

There are a few YouTube video's you can watch on launching a boat solo that may help.

Well, after both batteries were replaced, she was ready to go. Today, she took her first cruise of Boston Harbor. Neither life nor limb nor dock was harmed during the event. Still a few nits and nats to fix (chartplotter is ancient, engine hatch lift seems to work intermittently, a tiny bit of water in the bilge and the drive trim sender needs replaced.
But, she faired admirably and I actually brought her into the slip pretty well (tho my dockmates helped with the lines). Will need to recruit more boating friends. But until then, here are a few pics from today.

Ack, if someone can help with repositioning, that would be great.
.
A standing head. Whooo hoo! A little tight to maneuver, but who cares, it's a standing head with a door!

The aft cabin will be mostly storage and first mate sleeping quarters

Start taking pics in landscape. Problem solved!
Or take a screen shot first then upload that.

Comfy seating arrangements. Want to get a foldable armchair for the transom door and a 'fold out' for the front passenger seat so it can make a nice couch. (right now with the curve and the seat narrowness, it's not too comfortable for lounging all day and reading).
