Or you could leave water in it and then make a ice sculpture out of the big ice cube. Granted the tank won't be any good. So if you want to use the tank next year I would drain it. I would disconnect the inlet side water hose and run pink antifreeze through the pump and the rest of the water system.

Never had a chance to use it last year. This year was a different story. I will winterize tank just like you said ... pink anti-freeze for all my friends :D

We never put pink Antifreeze in fresh water tanks in campers. It's a pain to get it all out. There is a smell and taste to it so I'm not a fan of that part. But everyone has there own opinion on that.

So took the pump out today, took it apart and everything seems fine...maybe im missing and dont really understand it, the filter, diaphrams etc seems to be working properly...also seems to be a 1.3GPM pump, kinda weaker than the one aslan7 installed.

To me a empty tank can't freeze. You can even blow it out with air if you need to.

Technically speaking, a tank thats not 100% filled wont crack when frozen...when water freezes, it expands, and it wont "crack" anything unless its in a confined space...the tubing has to be free of water as it will want to expand. So if the pump, lines, etc are free of water, no cracking should happen.

Side note, my pumps rebuild kit is $47. Wonder if its worth it or get a new one. Aslan7 pump is about $80. Aslan, how quiet is your new pump?

Dunno what to do...i guess i have till next summer to figure it out :-)

I used shure flow pumps for years. I think that's the same brand A7 used. Great pumps.

Is it loud when running?

A7 will have to chime in. They have rubber mounts I didn't think they were that bad. Quieter then a blower.

Yes, it’s very quiet. We don’t even hear it when in use.
Btw, on a side note, we also changed out our bilge blower replacing the older one with the same updated brand. It’s almost too quiet. Exhausts hard but we don’t even hear it running. 👌🏼
