I think the boat you are looking for is very reasonable but you will have to look hard. I had a guy laugh at me b/c I told him was looking for a Cobalt ‘06 or newer that was 21-23’ for under $35K. Considering I got mine for under $25K I wished I kept his number so I could float.
Point being keep looking until you find what you want. As Cobalt says “Comprise,one Nothing”. Or something like that.

The 212 is very appealing and the one I have found is really nice. May need a little love based on the pictures.

The bama one has been forsale for awhile. It's salt water. Look at the manifolds.

Hours don't run from hours. I rather have a well takin care of a high hour boat then a low hour not taking care of boat.
Heck for 6grand more you can buy mine.
I'll get a r3 dreamsicle.
Oh if you find a bb for 30 and under you better buy it on the spot just saying. Have cash in hand or it will be gone before tomorrow.

BB is spot on.. this series with Big Blocks hold the highest resale and go quick. Someone should pry the keys out of BB hands for his.
496ho is a 2000 hr workhorse.. At 40 hours a year that's perfect. So no worries there.
Just a thought that you may want to put in a back up offer. Pending doesn't mean sold if your a cash buyer at sticker!
I like the Bravo X drive. I know they prop slip but I think they are faster at higher speeds. ( 4 blades vs 6)
I'd like to have a 2 blade duo prop.. hahaaa

Bravo x drive is great and strong but then your back to the wander issues. Yes you can prop a x drive easierto do multiple things. But i still think b3 has more advantages.
I turned down $40 last year. $45 I don't want to sell it price will get it sold.
They're is quite a diff in performance from the gi to gxi just to lley you know. Gi there are a few of them out there. I watched these for years. They don't become avail often and you better be ready. I got 2 of them and I had cash in hand.

Im definitely ready to jump on one if I find one.
Good to know on the hours. My 232 with the 7.4L had 539 hours. Ran like a boss. But I am a maintenance freak....the service shops love my money but not my persistence haha. I dont like my boat sitting outside for more than 24 hours. I am that guy...naked feet only, clean the boat while I am on it, when I am supposed to be enjoying the water. Haha.
I followed up on that 220 in bama, its a mess. You were spot on BBP. Seats were torn, steering wheel was cracked, RPM gauge wasnt OEM. Hard pass.
I think the 5.7 GXI would be fine, but after having that 7.4L BB, idk if I can go back to a small block...
Appreciate you guys keeping watch for me!
Hopefully it pops up soon

Really in a 220 you will only gain a few mph's with a bb. They are over rated. Lol
What you gain is torgue. It does not matter who or what is in the boat its hole shot is the same every time.

So are you both saying the 320 in a 220 would be enough?!
We typically have 2-4 people and 2 big dogs

You’ll be fine with 320 in a 220 while carrying those occupants (assuming you are not overpropped in which case she would bog down & be slow to plane) Ts91.
It is certainly much more preferable to having a 220 in a 320.
I’d be reluctant to install an engine under 300 horses
in a 220...ie a 260 horse in your situation.
With the correct engine setup, you can now have fun experimenting —trading pitch for either hole shot or top end speed. The goal is to find the best of both worlds.

I guess in all reality, the 7.4L was only 310hp. But the 232 only weighed 3800lbs dry. I think the 220 is north of 4000lbs.
But the 5.7GXI or 6.2 has to be lighter. So it would probably be a wash. Understanding they're different hull types.
I just like to cruise at 35-40mph. We have a big lake. It takes 40 minutes to get to our spot from where we launch. And if I can do that efficiently, without being hard on the motor, with the 320hp, that I would certainly go for that.
Gotta think, I could find a 220, 320hp and tower for under 30? Sound realistic? I have seen a handful for 25-28.
