BB - what's the story with the new prop? Been so focused on my own prop issues (I have 3 at my house right now) that I missed yours... Let's talk prop pal!

Yep I had two cd's in the glove box too. I just installed it Sunday so not sure how it streams yet. Bluetooth worked from the other side of the boat though. None of the other guys that have the unit complained about it. Use the usb and I think it will charge the phone too. It has a usb cord out the back and one guy ran that all the way to the helm.good idea I might do that yet? The unit is new and on eBay for $129 free shipping and alot of good reviews on the web on the unit so for that price I couldn't go wrong. I think it's last year's model but Heck I had a 13 year old model in it before. The wire plug was different but no big deal.
On the props they are the same Volvo f8 props that come with the boat.I didn't change anything. The ones on my boat were rebuilt and I didn't like the feel of them and didn't think they held the water very good at higher speeds. I thought they were slipping too much and I was losing speed. It had a vibration at low end I thought was just the props turning with the trim up or down but it ended up being the props as it's gone now. The repair looked good I just didn't like it. I found these on offshore forum for a great price and the guy shipped them to me. I paid shipping. I sold mine on eBay so really didn't cost me too much.$150 these props were only used one time.

129? Can you link me up please?
Sounds like you did well on the props as well. I'm still waiting to test the 4 blade at WOT.

Does that Sony head unit "forget" all of the presets when you kill power to it?

If you turn off all the power in the boat on the master perko switch. But you could run a power wire right from the battery if you want.but I don't turn off all the power so I'm ok. Never have on any of my boats and never had any issues with a dead battery. So far very happy with the unit. It does too much stuff for me. I'm not happy with the way cobalt wired the amps and speakers though. I prob will rewire them. Plus now i don't listen to the radio so I don't care about the presets. Also great Sony app for your phone to start iheart or Pandora so I never touch the radio anymore.the only thing the app doesn't do is control the volume which is messed up,so I just use the remotes on the boat for that.

Chad,
I started to remove the old stereo receiver so that I could put in the new one (Sony like yours. I cannot get the old one out because the rear of the unit is bolted on to the back strap (see pic), and I cannot figure out how to access that to unbolt it.
Any tips?
Thanks!

The panel in the back behind the front bow seat back. You understand that? I confused myself.lol there are 4 screws that you remove on the top half to gain access to the wiring and radio. Then a small Phillips screw hold that strap in place. See my white amp ours screwed to the panel you need to remove.

I thought that was how you get to it, but from the angle of the receiver, it did not seem like removing those panels would give access. I guess it does.
Thanks!

Yep it does. They may have gotten all four screws to line up or they may not. My top left one doesn't. I really hate the way they wired up the amps and sub. Might get redone this off season. Do you have amps or just the six speakers.

I got the new receiver in. That panel was a pain to get back in.
I have the six speakers, no amplifiers or subs.

I took it out this morning and figured out the bluetooth so I could listen to Pandora. It worked really well and sounded good. And the remotes control it like they are supposed to.
This is the old one. When I pressed the buttons on it, it did nothing.

Did you download the Sony app for it. I think you just scan the app thing on the box it came in.It works great except it doesn't control the volume which I don't know why they didn't add that option.
