Not if you know the drill. If you leave a mag loaded for a long time it will put a dent in the plastic of the round making it jam when the bolt slams. You also have to have the bolt open when a mag is loaded. Other than that it runs flawlessly. Load it up with 00 or slugs and bang away. 00 is 9 .38 caliber pellets going downrange all at once, and you can launch 9 more as fast as you can pull the trigger. And slugs? Fahgetaboutit...

Up on my range I have some steel tanks I've shot up with this thing. Slugs are like shooting a pop can with a .22
I spend a lot of time on the range here at my place. I'm an avid shooter but only hunt hogs and coyotes.

Nice - can I come over after the factory tour in December? I was looking at the Kel-Tec KSG but semi auto 12ga does seem more fun.

Ytmsn wrote: Fri Apr 20, 2018 7:31 am Umm.. why? I guess a potato gun would do the same thing and be much cheaper to buy, but why shoot a can through the air? Long distance cold-beer delivery while out on the water? 😊
Because America that's why. Why do you hate freedom Yt?

You guys are making me want to hit the range....

I owned a KSG, kept it about a year and sold it. It was ok.. just only real use I had for it was keeping it loaded for home defense gun. Playing with it outside got old. If I do over, someone makes one in an AR style platform.

Yeah my son has one. It's called an MKA 1919. It runs rough and kicks lime a mule. So does the Kel-tec KSG. Anyone I've ever talked to that has had one ends up selling it or putting it away in the closet. My Saiga has a buffer spring that takes out a lot of its kick.

And you're welcome at the range anytime! I have some pretty neat stuff. Lots of steel plates, knock downs, dueling trees, gongs, spinners, long distance AR 500 steel... it's easy to go thru a lot of ammo.

If I need a clip I pull out a 69 browning 9mm very smooth, but for good times its a s&w chromed 357.

That would be a .44 mag BB. I have a matched set. Not Dirty Harry .44s, more like Matt Dillon .44s. And a matched set of bone handle .357s. Fun stuff!

I love shooting big revolvers!! We have a.357 stainless Rossi, .41 stainless Smith and Wesson and a .44 stainless Ruger Super Redhawk. Something about shooting them puts a huge smile on your face. I buy ammo in bulk which keeps the price down a bit when you shoot them a lot.

Twice a year Knob Creek Gun range holds a machine gun shoot. Knob creek range was once a part of Ft Knox that was used to test Navy Destroyer artillery shells. Its about 500yds deep and cut into a large large hillside. During the machine gun shoot people from all over the country bring their legally owned machine guns and waste 100's of thousands of dollars in ammo effectively showing off how much money they have to waste.

Each night they place large containers of gasoline, propane, and pretty much anything else that will explode on the range and shoot it. Its a stupid display, I have been to the shoot but didn't stick around for the night shoot. I dont think I can talk Katie into it. I also need to figure out a way to triple up on hearing protection.

America - F YEA!

That's how I am with my Saiga. 12 round sticks or a 20 round drum.. it's all about firepower! I guess owning this makes about as much sense as a can launcher now that I think about it.

Now there is some serious horsepower....
