Iโ€™m still watching baseball bud, but Iโ€™ll be up in Appleton some time in February, and Iโ€™m in Milwaukee 5 days a week if you ever get tired of the banjo music up north. ๐Ÿ˜‰
I'll be in Milwaukee Oct. 15th by the airport for work.
Yes keep cheering for the Brewers ๐Ÿ“ฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Sweet, we should do lunch. Iโ€™ll stick with the Cubs, I like baseball in October. ๐Ÿ˜‰
October baseball? So you have been a cubs fan for 2 years?

Might end up 2-14 if Rogers hand canโ€™t hold up.

I'm not sure if my diag cable would work on your connector. As mine and Matt's were the same. So we are hooked up.
Take a picture of yours. I'm sure I could send you mine too try with the software. But the session isn't going to be around much longer and you can do it next year too.
This is the diag plug I have: Image

If Iโ€™m pulling the throttle body Iโ€™ll just replace the IAC. I need to verify by engine serial but I think this is the right one:

Iโ€™ll take it apart Sunday and see how it all looks. We got 5โ€ of rain in 2 days so the lakes are all no wake, and probably will be for a few days so itโ€™s good timing I guess...
Time to bump this thread. I have all my spring tuneup stuff ordered, including a new IAC, so I'll be pulling the throttle body for a good cleaning too. Hopefully that will fix my surging RPM issue so I can accurately check/set timing. Might try and advance base timing a degree to see if that helps pick up some RPMs top end. Stay tuned.

Before you pull your throttle body off Mahe sure everything Lines up to the intake nice and smooth. Or else port and polish that area to fit nice and flow baby. 8.1 have a bad issue with that.

Iโ€™ll have to do some googling on that. Iโ€™ll take pics when I pull it apart, if it needs a little massaging Iโ€™m not against breaking out the dremmel. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Yea on the 8.1 that is what caused some of the whistling we were hearing. Grind away baby!

Have you ever had your fuel injectors cleaned? Not with injector cleaner or Sea foam either. Real professional sonic cleaning. 20+ years of dirt/crud can easily clog the tip. Not to mention what ethanol can do to fuel hoses not designed for it.

Nope, but itโ€™s a good idea. Iโ€™ll put it on the list. What I really need is a diagnostic reader to check what the actual Whipple tune looks like.
