Got to love Texas. Not. Lol
This time last week was 0 degrees. Today the high is 80. That's just nuts.
Here in South Louisiana Monday and Tuesday were beautiful spring like days the last couple days have been overcast but no rain still warm I’m looking at the forecast for this weekend to see if I can squeeze in a ride.

Same think here in Missouri. -13 last Tuesday. 70 this Tuesday. But no boat rides for me. I’ve still got about another month to worry about cold nights

Finishing our new faux teak table in marine Spar varnish. Loving the look so far. I'll post the full video once it's finished.

Been trying to figure put a place to add a handle to make getting up the extended swim platform easier. We finally settled on a side mount. Should help for us lazy adults. Ended up using this handle off of Amazon: https://amzn.to/3qqT9QB Bought a second one too, might add it to the other side maybe, still thinking about that.

4 coats of marine SPAR varnish on. Going to apply one more coat and see how I feel about the results:

Had a few minutes yesterday to do a final test fit on the 8.2 intake. I don't like the way the clamps fit that I sourced. Waiting on different clamps to come in to test fit again. Should be ready to do a test run next week.

And the flame arrestors I use are these. Since it seems to come up each time I talk about increasing air flow :)

J1928 / USCG spec marine backfire flame arrestors. All steel mesh, no fabric filter media.

I got it from Defender Marine here: https://www.defender.com/product.jsp?id=5824993

Also did a full step by step video here:

They have some good choices that are a little smaller which might work better for us. I might keep it unfinished though.

That mount and leg you bought is exactly what I was looking at too

Yup. They have all different sizes. It looks great unsealed. Main reason I sealed it is to help avoid stains in the future.

I've been experimenting with different coatings on the gelcoat to see what lasts longer, what goes on easier, what is more durable, what repels water better, etc.... I found one that is worth sharing.

This video shows the results of using 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating on a boat's fiberglass gelcoat hull. These results are approximately 3 months and 8-9 trips to the lake after coating. This was in fresh water so your results may differ based on the type of water you boat in.
This is after just 1 coat. You can apply 2-3 additional coats for even more protection. I was very impressed with the results so far. I will be testing this against other coatings such as Smoove Blue Ice Ceramic Shield coating as well.
