Haha, Full payment won't make a difference.. My dealer didn't want a cent until it arrived.
Might even hurt since there is no dealer kick back from the bank.
I was warned at the Toronto boat show last year that Cobalt was way ahead of last years sales, and that I need to get it ordered. If I would have procrastinated, I would have been screwed.

I looked for 5 for my little 190.

Sure F2F!
Can't wait for pics!...after you grow a beard for no-shave November...and then shave it off for Christmas. Do that a few more times and your boat will be hear before you know it! :D

My 2 cents. I bought a 220 in April off the floor. 280 hp VP duoprop. Was going to order but didn't want to miss this boating season. Was amazed how responsive this engine is. With 2 people, top end is 50, planes very quickly. Now, 95% of time just my wife and I. Like you most friends don't go now. So, if I had kids tubing & sking, would go for the larger engine. But if I ordered the same boat tomorrow, I'd get the same engine. I actually miss the sound of the captains call on my previous larger engine boat than the performance from it. Good luck, you'll love the 220. And welcome to the forum!

Six weeks sounds almost impossible once you see how much goes into making the boat. Mine was ordered around the holidays, and ready at the dealer about twelve weeks later.

I've been told that new 280hp is quite the performer. There is a leftover 17 I've been looking at, but its not the color I want and is missing some options i'd like to have. Figure since boating season is months away  I'll go ahead and order exactly what I want.

Ohh this is good. You'll fit right in here charron! You hijacked f2f's welcome thread and you didn't even know it!
Not that it would ever happen here...

Be sure to go to the new members thread and introduce yourself so we can misdirect that thread and tell you how to spend your money. We love new members almost as much as we like arguing over motors and spending your money on accessories WE want!

Sorry after rereading his post I don't think he hijacked it. He was answering the question on how long it may take to order the boat and get delivery. Then we hijacked it by welcoming him.lol
Personally I don't think we have anything called hijacking if it's normal in every thread? Just saying :-)

Congrats on the new boat order! :) wish I had enough lake company to justify buying a bigger boat. I plan on putting the final order details in tomorrow.

Thanks for the info.

What are those final new boat order details you decided upon, Fun2fish? :D
