It's amazing how many of us got New to us boats this year
This was my first summer with mine also!
It had been about 20 years since I owned my last boat. I've had a slip for the last 7 years, but didn't want to take care of another boat. I had forgotten how much fun a boat was and how much I, my wife, and our quest enjoyed going out.
Sure glad I my wife talked me into it, I have really enjoyed it this year. The 242 is a whole different experience from the bass boats I used to own.
Yes...despite some of the hardships, I would not trade any of our boating memories for the world. --Worth every penny ...or dollar..or thousands of dollars.

Have to check. I think im at around 35. Shot for 50 but the weather blew (literally) first half of summer. Tucking her in on Thursday. I'm salty about it.

It's made up for it lately though but unfortunately I don't have the time now. Kids are in school. They're not even asking about the lake/boat anymore.
I find once football season starts, interest in Boating goes down drastically. It's as if people get into a fall mindset. I mean football is great but --come on this is boating!

Agree! We've been asking friends to go out on Sundays. Nope, the game is on. Lame!
Got boat in May, put 16 hours on it. Was gone about a month from mid Aug to mid Sept so that didn't help. We don't ski anymore so we do a lot of just drifting.

Agree as well. I love football but the jets suck... as per usual. I'd rather be on the lake. Picked her up to winterize on thursday. My brother in i ripped around for half an hour. The hills were crazy. all the leaves turning. We were the only ones out. Cranked tunes and and just went WOT. Stopped in the middle of the lake and just bs'ed for a while. A little sad to drop her off. Then again, it's awful out here this weekend. Cold and rainy.
