Big Block and Alaska: Thanks for the reply. This really is a great group of people. My 220 is very quiet up to about 45 mph (4600 rpm). You can carry on a conversation at normal levels even at this speed. The Merc 6.2L really comes on from there up to WOT. Love the motor "whine" when I open it up. Wish Cobalt had offered Captain's Call exhaust. Initially my "seat dyno" said I was going faster than the speedometer indicated. However after checking with my GPS, my speedometer was indicating less than 1 mph off. Had to take the boat off my lift last week, but will put it in one last time tomorrow. Then it will put to bed for the winter after a little TLC! Will be pulling the rear prop and have some cup put in it at a very reputable prop shop here in the valley. Will let everyone know what that does for my hole shot and top end.

Flathead, welcome from Ky. We have similar boats. Just got mine in April this year. I also have white hull but red stripe. I have the 280 hp Volvo, top end 50. My 4th boat and also love it. I wish the Bimini was slightly longer. We got sea grass carpet, fender clips. I'm also "experienced",turned 70 last week but don't ski anymore. You'll learn these guys on here (and gals Katy) need some elderly advice occasionally so help me out.

Looks around behind me... who are you talking about?

Welcome FH! Need those pics ASAP please. As well of pics of the beautiful lake. A while back I posted on a thread about where we'd like to boat:

I said Flathead. You knuckleheads may remember the pics with the ridiculous water clarity.
I was just talking with someone up your way today actually and they mentioned the snow on the mountains. I've heard in detail about the smoke from the wildfires.
Anyway - I'm glad you've found us as I now no longer have to tow my boat to Montana when I can just pop in and say hello to you!
Welcome again and get a pic up soon. the natives get restless after a while.

Hey now... That ole girl is gonna look pretty sharp by springtime. I could pull her up next to that pretty red boat with the twins and they'll be saying "oh, I want a ride on THAT one"!
Huh? Which one?!!
