What is the style of throttle/gear selector called that have the gear/throttle separate? Is there an accessory to put on the starboard gear selector, like a larger round knob that makes it easier to access? If you want to engage that drive only, it’s not real easy to get to.

I believe you are referring to the "Livorsi" brand of shifters? They are the company that makes the separate throttle and gear shifters.

The previous owner reached out to tell me to be careful with the fuel filler cap. The chain is broken so he wanted to warn me so it doesn’t get dropped in the lake. Does anyone have a link to a replacement so I can have one on hand if the cap does get dropped?

Congrats on the 282. Looks real nice. I was between a 282 and 262 after selling my 220. Ended up with a really nice 262 that we love. Sometimes wish I had the 282 with twins but guess I'll run this one a few years. You'll love the ride.

Seems a reasonable estimate, before people, ice chests, etc. Looking for
a lift, or trailer? I'd say minimum 10,000lb lift for that. I had a 10k lift
under my 272, and the floats were just past half submerged when fully
floated, with the boat, gas, and equipment.

There are others here who can recommend (or argue about) trailers.

There are 6 x SS screws around the trim on the fridge, then it comes right out. You have to maneuver it at an angle to get it out. The electrical connection is at the top right, with a metal enclosure and two wire connectors, and a ground wire. There is a lot of space once it is out. The wiring harnesses and cockpit panels are all exposed for easy access. Hope this helps.
