Yt that's how I'm going to try to wire mine. I got a big kicker sub for free that fits in my storage behind the port bow seat. Going to see how that works pretty soon I hope.

That's a good place. My sub and amps are starboard behind the bow seat and it sounds great. My port seat is stationary because the head is behind it. I also have a control knob to the sub mounted under the dash to turn it up or down. I fiddled with it a lot at first, but now I pretty much leave it where it is. If I heard something buzzing I would track it down and try to eliminate it, but it's all worked out now.

Ok I got to thinking while in bed. Better to think about the boat then work.lol I don't have the batteries in the boat I just had my little jump pack on battery 1. I thought I bet they have it running off of battery 2. So I checked and yep they did. It goes right to the battery switch not the batteries and the circuit breakers are right by the switch under the starboard rear seat. So another day I'll go play with it and maybe get the amp installed.
Just to update this post. There are two amp cables prerun and Cobalt only attached one of them to the circuit breaker right above the perko in the starboard back seat storage spot. You can get to the perko from the engine area through a access hole after you remove the cover. That is where the other amp lead wire was and was disconnected. It did run off either 1or2 on the perko.
