Another Roswell speaker owner! How do you like them? I slightly preferred them over the JL Audio, and quite a bit over wet sounds, but not many on here have looked into all three.
John
I have the Roswells as well and they are by far the best sounding system on the new models. One thing to note is that they jump up to an 8" speaker in the cabins over the JL's 6.5's which pushes much more air as well has more of a bass response. SUPER clean with the volume at 1 or maxed out. I hear so many distorted sounding speakers on the lake and these are absolutely not that. You can play modern pop, jazz, country, classical, etc. on them and they all sound equally amazing. I can't put my finger on the wet sounds sound yet but it just feels like ice picks are in my ears for some reason.
.
I think where the Wet Sounds shine is in their
tower applications for pushing audio
outside the boat. Their
horn tweeters (vs dome) have excellent efficiency (92db) and terrific maximum power handling (600 Watts) ability. This combined with a full frequency spectrum (20Hz to 20khz) make them an excellent choice for water sport or beach fans who want to push loud, clean power
outside the boat. We actually posted a quick demo clip of this on YouTube
here.
We use
JL Audio 6.5's for
inside boat listening via an 8 channel
M800/8v2 and have been quite impressed with the sound quality and low distortion. We like the speaker grill look better than the
Roswells and the speakers spec out better than the Roswells in efficiency (91 vs 90); frequency response (45hz-25kHz vs 60-20kHz) and power handling (100 continuous vs 80 and 200 peak vs 160) in the 6.5" speaker category. That being said I challenge anyone to try to hear that difference on specs alone. And quite honestly, IMHO the source is what can make the greatest difference in quality sound. JL also offers the 8 channel amp vs Roswell's 6 channel max.
Take it for what it's worth. Now if I can just get my camera to hold steady with all that bass thumping goin' on.

I don't know too much about audio, last research I got into was around 1973 when deciding what amp and tuner to get when I wanted my first quality stereo. Our premium package was enough for me...not even sure of details but we got Rockford Fosgate and JL Audio speakers.
Sunday while cruising across the lake, I felt something was wrong with the boat. Wife was in the back controlling music with the remote control.
I stopped the boat, turned off the music, and then realized, the vibration I was worried about was the bass on her music. It scared me for a minute.

I got the "folding with rotating sunshade" arch. It is currently priced at @ 12,750 msrp. OR about 3500 more than the arch with a Bimini. I got the rotating for 2 reasons. More shade from the arch itself and also it is needed to get the rear shade sail. After using it and seeing other posts about the current biminis being not quality enough. I surely suggest it. It is a quality piece. I went without electric fold to save some money and feel it is not needed. The tower is weighted so one person with one hand can move things around easily. I haven't dropped it but 2 times to mess with it. Pretty much stays up.

I'd love to see the bases of the two poles holding up the rear of the shade sail. Specifically how they're supported or attached to the hull or swim platform.
Take a look. The poles appear to be carbon fiber and bend when connected to the shade. Uses tension to keep the sail shade taught. The poles go into the fiberglass. Or more specifically into a metal slot with a cap. Pics are below of the pole attachment point. Seems like a pretty high quality set up.

Nice set up. But why would they Make the holders cap angled in. I would think it would just be inline with the gunwale.

I’m thinking the receiver hole is at an angle to help with the tension.

Thanks for the pictures! I'm hoping to do something like that on my boat. Great pics.

Love the images of your tower. I'm debating between the rotating sunshade or bimini. Can you post a video or pic of it dropped/stowed? I'm trying to see if I'll have enough clearance on my lift with the height of our dock.
I can take a pic with the boat on the trailer and the tower dropped. These pics should help for now. The day I was on the lake it was windy and solo. The wind kept making the tower raise up before I could take a pic. These pics are of the tower down within about 5-6 inches of max drop. I would bring it down and step back. But before taking the pic it had already moved a few inches up. Anyhow you get the idea, take a look.

INSANE! Wanted to wait till I have a bunch of hours on the system. Thinking about 80-100 on the stereo. Now that is broken in I feel confident to say it is fantastic. Well worth the cost to upgrade. Loud and a ton a bass. Easy to hear at any speed. I discovered either the factory or dealership put "loud" on. After turning loud off and adjusting the levels; It's pretty shocking how great the sound is. Highly recommended.
