The installer removed the snaps and it was all stuck down. There was no sanding involved. (At least I'm pretty sure there wasn't as there was no residue anywhere and they did it in our garage)

Its SeaDek from Castaway Customs. They have agents all over the South East near bodies of water. We originally touched base with them at a boat show in Nashville several years ago. Two boats ago we had a 360SS Carver Sedan Bridge that they did the cockpit, swim platform, steps and bridge. They are mobile so they can come to the boat. They did a such a great job on the Carver, we had them back to do the Cobalt. It aint cheap (I know the question is coming so... $2800.) but is is custom so there are some things you can get done. I had the top of the anchor locker done so that a leap from there to a dock is less scary, we had both sides of the swim platform done so it feels nice on the tootsies in the water. We are getting a foot tread for the gunnel on the starboard side just aft of the arch. They did the full job, came down for one trip to scan, and another trip to remove old snaps, clean, seal and install. And they did it at our house. I like things that are easy!

They said they could do the logo. I said "OK" (and added another boat buck to the invoice!)
