That's odd if gears or bearings or something didn't come apart how did the hole get caused by something inside. Ummmmmm

Our mechanic did not indicate anything was missing, just blew a whole in the side of the housing.

Survey was ordered by insurance company and the surveyor said it was internal, blew out of the housing from normal wear and tear. Our mechanic (who we have had done work before and is highly respected in our area) said in all his years he has never seen this.
