Engine power isn't the main issue you face, it's transmission heat.
Your engine may struggle, but it's your tranny that may bite the dust if you push it too hard.

Oh that tranny won't last long. Like I said I had it floored going 70. I know these trans are not that strong to begin with. Also you have to stop so hopefully trailer brakes work good.If it's a new trailer no issue. Get brakes on all four wheels. Get a Eagle trailer as Liquid says.

my trip to the lake is 20 mins but all highway. Like I said if it's 20 minutes low speed you will be ok. Does the truck have a trailer package. It will have a trans cooler and a larger radiator.

I've pulled a lot in that RX up and down hills. 190K miles so far so good... knocks on wood.
I don't generally pull the boat with it anymore but I still pull with it - It's like a work truck/soccer mom mobile.
