liquid wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2017 12:07 pm I've also found that if I scare everyone in the very beginning then things generally go smoothly.

I also stress all hands in the boat when we're landing or taking off - If I need you to do something I'll ask you otherwise just assume I got it.
Same here

There is another thread about what is banned on your boat so I thought I'd bump my boat rules thread for some of the new guys since we're about to go into the season.

I want to ride on your boat just to break the rules. That's my only rule :-)

YT,

Your rules are pretty much the same as mine just add the no glass. So this year is the first year I will be boating with the "in-laws" and I laid down the rules and the first thing my MIL says is what?? I can't bring my wine on the boat? I about blew my top! I'm a pretty cool customer but tend to have blackout rage when you push certain buttons.

TR it was my Sons MIL that got these started. I literally handed her an earplug. She asked what it was for and I told her to stick it in one of her ears. That way when I told her something, maybe it wouldn't go in one side and out the other so fast. It didn't do much good...

You guys still let people on your boats?!?? Not happening

Hardasses.....pffft!

Ok seriously, all good rules. To which I would add. “Nothing in the head that doesn’t come out of you first”. Or at least when I had a head on board

I do have one glass rule exception

Johnny walker blue after sundown and only with those who understand and enjoy it. It’s usually a calmer crowd

You guys are cranky, grumpy, pissy old men with all these damn rules 🤣

But yea in all seriousness....spray that damn lotion on the swim platform. My wife is the biggest culprit....still training her 😐

Im actually ok with glass. The weight helps the trash bag stay put underway. What do you guys do about trash? In my current boat i tie a trash bag off on grab handle on the bathroom door.
