You prob can use the great off the old one. It's just held in with a roll pin.

Attaching a few more before and after photos. The hull cleaned up nicely after a good pressure washing. I still need to spend some time cleaning up the side panels. I cleaned up the seats a bit but have no intentions of keeping those long term.

Eventually yeah. My plan was to rebuild the bow seats but maybe just rewrap the recliner and back bench seat with new vinyl. I've come across a number of youtube videos of people taking that approach and it doesn't look too bad. In general, this is going to be a budget rebuild. Get it clean, functional and comfortable.

Congratulations on your find. I've got an 87 Condesa and each time I take it out, I've got people wanting to know about the boat. This like an old car or motorcycle. People like old things.

I for one look forward for updates on these threads. It sure did clean up well, the hull looks mint.

The hull condition is definitely one of the positive aspects and I'm hoping the engine and outdrive prove to be equally surprising. I just ordered the Sierra Marine EST Conversion Kit to replace the old faulty MSD ignition setup. Won't be here for another 2-3 weeks though so I'll have to find some other smaller projects to take on. More cleaning probably and definitely rebuilding the bimini box that sits at the base of the bench seat. That sucker is completely gone. I also need to replace the hatch struts as there aren't any. No idea if they were taken off at some point but that heavy SOB is a pain to open without assistance and then of course you have to prop it open with a board. So yeah, need to get those two things sorted out so that I can work in the engine area comfortably and safely. I'll start a new thread in the Older Boats forum with my next update.

You were partially right. It was actually the seat which was water logged. It's been removed and the hatch is much more manageable now...

Fellow Beaver boater here. Picked up a 272 a few months ago, still getting our feet wet. Welcome to the club! I don't have the time for such a project, but wish you the best on yours!

We just bought ours (‘87 21 Br) a few months ago. We are having issue with tons water coming into the ski compartment (right by the captains chair. Bilge? We are completely New to boat remodeling but its going to be a beauty when she is done.

We need help locating the bilge pump. And should this size boat have two? Water was just pouring into the water ski compartment the first time we took it out. No obvious cracks in the hull, just a few dings. I am going to take more pictures today.

Follow the tube from the outlet? It's probably under the engine?

Make sure to take a look at the engine while it's running to look for sources of water. I had a busted blue drain plug as the cause of one of my intrusion issues.
