At cruising speed, my trim assist has the trim anywhere from 8-10° up from fully down.
On the EVC that's 3-5, since it goes to -5, and on the gauge its 8-10, since that one starts at 0.

Nicad, yes as I have the same boat, and at altitude I hit it with trim down and hit it- then trim up once on plane as BB has said- around 2800 rpm or so- Listen to the laboring of your motor and speed until it sounds the best combination of the two and your wake smooths out.
The faster I go the more I trim up- towards WOT that is. The 98 220 with 'the 7.4 gi in the drone shot and I raced home afterwards and we were about even- I was able kept my pink slip...
Where is the Who playing? I've seen them a few times in the Bay- great band! Enjoy!

Very cool. We had Alpine Valley here in Wisconsin to go see bands like that outdoors on a big hill.

There are a couple of videos on YouTube that may help.

I've played with mine when at WOT and can trim and increase speed right up to when the prop pulls air (51.7 MPH). For me, and since the lake is usually very choppy with wake, I mostly run without trim unless I'm in a smooth area and feel like opening it up and burning some gas fast.

LOL. I'm not sure how it works other than setting the button and watching it do it's thing. I didn't even know what it was until yesterday. I'll definitely play with it next time out.

I run my 240 bowrider at 3/4 trim after planing. Seems to prop up the bow a bit and I get more speed. Also seems to help with a smoother ride. I have a duo prop 320 merc.

I have found that the EVC trim assist works until you manually adjust the trim. After manually changing the trim I have to unselect and reselect Trim Assist.
You can calibrate further within the EVC display settings. I saw that in there, but mine seems to work well enough so I haven't felt like messing with it.
