Problem Solved.
Took off the exhaust and traced the wire to a bolt in the back of the block. 3 ground wires running to this bolt that had no nut on it. Total pain to get a new nut on it but once done all the problems solved and the engine fired right up.

Very cool but does it have a star washer on it. The star washer should touch the block. Congrats!!!

I put a star washer and a lock nut on it. Hopefully it doesn’t come loose any time soon.

Good deal. It's amazing what a bad grd will cause. Glad you grabbed that harness and noticed the change.

Took the boat out for its first run..... not impressed, my 4.3 had more pick up and go, honestly. Then the engine overheated...... found that it’s not drawing any water which I assume is a bad impeller. Couldn’t test further, I can only assume that the poor performance was because of the cooling problems. Any Thoughts? Engine has 56 hours on it.

Sorry but how long has this boat been sitting. What engine is in her again. That impeller is wasted. Hopefully didn't do any bad gasket damage. How long did you run it Hot? Did you just buy it? First thing before this boat hit the water the impeller should have been changed. You will have pieces that you will need to get out of the Cooling system.
Sharp boat by the way.

What exactly do I need to do while replacing the impeller?

It’s a 454 mpi. Been sitting for three years. I suspect it’s the impeller/water pump. I killed it the second I saw the temp rise. Hopefully no major damage done. Only thing that seemed to really heat up was the exhaust manifolds.

Once you get the impeller out you will see what you need to do. If it's missing pieces you need to go find those pieces in the engine cooling system. Fuel pump cooler, pwr steering cooler, T stat. I would replace that too, hoses. They're are plenty of threads on here and on the web about this. I have said it on here before too. When buying low hour used boats and ones that have been sitting . Before putting it in the water change the impeller!!!!
Stuck a easy thing to do to avoid a huge hassle. Let's post pictures of the bad impeller.

Alright, I got the impeller changed. Went pretty smooth and fixed the problem. Ow I’m getting small about a of dripping out of the exhaust manifolds on each side of the block. Is this normal?

You should not be getting any water dripping from anything inside of the boat. Pictures.
Was the impeller in 1 piece?
Glad it went smooth. Sounds like you may need riser gaskets?
