R3vsR23SC vs R5 or R25SC
Re: R3vsR23SC vs R5 or R25SC
Very well said CB, sometimes we buy things with our heart instead of the wallet. I bought the red boat for $55K in 2011 and sold it in 2018 for $45K. The R3 and the SD SC23 are pricing out about the same [$95K] with trailers and towers w/300HP. Interesting choice to make...

I would ask bobrae if a 300 hp is enough in a R3 though. Just to make sure your happy. You don't want a underpowered boat out there. I would go SC though for salt use. Even though the new 300 and 350 are closed cooling.Sieben wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 11:21 pm Very well said CB, sometimes we buy things with our heart instead of the wallet. Bought the red boat in 2011 for $55K, sold it in 2019 for $45K but had it repainted and spent a lot on varnish and keeping the motor up to date. Ttrailer cost another $6K.
The outboards are pricing out within 5% of the R3 and R5. I'm creating a spreadsheet to compare them all.
