Just how many of the black boats are you going to collect 10 years in the future? I see it now, a fleet of big block, CC, black boats cruising the waterways!

Thanks really waiting for this. I'll take it in any R size. We will see if the Harbor actually ordered one.

I will hoard everyone I can get my hands on. Which I'm sure will only be 1. Seeing that none of you new boat guys order CC with a 430 much less in the only color black. I can only hope for 1 with a merc 8.2. I'll prob only find 1. I'll settle for the Volvo though.

I had spec'd mine with the 8.2 380 mag knowing I can tune it to more than 430 with a whipple tune but I was highly recommended to go with the Volvo and it was less expensive which was strange. Its Probably because they sell 80% Volvo so can get a deal on them. Maybe I will have the first Volvo that's modified to 430hp. Anyone do that yet? There isn't no difference between the merc 8.2 mag and Mag HO either just tuning.

Yes tuning the Volvo good luck. The ecu is locked and the code hasn't been broke yet.
The merc I don't think it's just a tune. Prob cam and throttle body and injectors maybe. It's been awhile since I looked.
Honestly Volvo is kicking mercs ass on Stern drives. They have way better tech with vvt. Less weight just plain and simple better. Only thing merc has going is its a bb and solid as a rock and the sound. Can't beat a bb sound. It would be nice to line them up side by side to see it first hand which one is on top. Cobalt had a fight against merc so they don't push them in any of the boats even in a outboard. Maybe someday they will get some counseling and get back together. If you live in Wisconsin you will prob get a merc of your dealer is close to the factory other than that nope a Volvo.

I am pretty positive the 8.2's are exactly the same! I know the 8.1's were not. I had volvo in my last boat and was very happy with it but for me it was about the BB Sound and the ability to tune it. Yet at the end of the day I wouldn't do anything until after the warranty runs out with at that point I am sure something better will be out. Thanks for all the feedback guys! It seems everyone is pretty happy with there 6.2's!

Yes very little issues with the 6.2s. A few blew some up. Some with reversion issues. But hey they all have that.
