So I know the GOAT isn't as fancy as some but I had a similar problem. I came up with a different solution. I mounted and arm underneath the dash the sticks to the right side wall under the wheel.

Because of where it is I can see my phone (which is my gps and sound system) as it is usually shaded. It actually looks pretty sleek and is out of the way and perfectly functional without drilling or cutting sh@t up which I hate.

I have no pics of it as my phone is always on it.

Nothing miraculous just encouraging thought outside the bun.
