I do plan on getting a newer trailer with carpet bunks but a new one was a little more than I wanted to spend. Daycare cuts into my "fun budget" a little.
I remember those days. After paying for daycare I'm not sure I had a fun budget.

Fun fact, daycare for 2 kids is equal to sponsoring a amateur racing career. Don't ask how I know...

Johnson@H20town wrote: Tue May 14, 2019 7:14 am Thanks for the comments! The boat house isn't mine ( I just have a lowly dock up in Cape Vincent but I have a goal now to build one of those), I just asked the old owner to raise it up for inspection. Bfun, you are correct though....he does create a wet slip for visitors. The guy I bought it from was top notch. He obviously took care of the boat and his wife was emotional about selling it. They got a newer 232 because it was easier for them to get on and off through the back as they are getting older. They even went as far and having breakfast ready for my boat inspector/old friend and our kids we brought. I am taking him up on his offer to come back down, he is smack dab in the Finger Lakes Wine Country Region. I was reluctant about buying a boat this old but between the seller and my two inspections " I feel good......I knew that I would"!

It figures that we have been getting rain for a few days straight here which is furthering the flooding on Ontario. I am hoping by Memorial Day me and the family can get out.

Also, I should have mentioned that the boat is powered by the 5.7 GSI Volvo Penta/ Duoprop. I can't get over how quiet the motor is when you are in the boat.

Best,

EJ
I just figured out your username.

My brother-in-law's parents live right next to Burnham Point State Park up your way. I'm up there a couple times a season.

Daycare for three kids that morphed into a full time nanny was one of the main reasons I didn’t have a boat for 20 years!

Welcome Johnson from a fellow New Englander. Can't/don't have enough Cobalters east of the Appalachians. Gorgeous boat and a gorgeous boat playground. MOAR pics please :)

Welcome Johnson! For a second I thought you were a fellow Ontarian, but very close. Very nice boat! I generally boat up north in Ontario's cottage country, but plan to drop into Lake Ontario this summer (but Toronto to Watertown is about 200 miles away :) ).

Cheers!

Biased, but that’s some amazing boating in the 1000 Islands. I grew up near Syracuse and spent a ton of time boating up in that area. The Canadian islands are incredible — we used to run up to Kingston all the time. Enjoy! Great to have another Cobalter in the northeast.

Agreed. Very cool waterways.
