Where do you go to get the market value of your boat?

Well, after talking it over with the other half, the boat is staying. And you guys were right....it is only April. I guess it's the southern boy in me that just doesn't deal well with cold, plus apparently, I'm not a very patient man.

On the bright side, after looking at some prices on 2016 R3's (remember, I bought mine in 2017 as a hold over at my dealer), if the posts on the various boat trader type sites are accurate, then I feel alot better about my purchase knowing what the market seems to want to bring.

So, I guess now, y'all are stuck with me.

It’s all good man we all are getting impatient with this prolonged winter. I actually had the same rant to my wife about a week ago when I had to delay the delivery of my boat because of record low temps. And even this past weekend all I got to do was back it off the trailer and load it on the slip.

The warm temps will come and we all will be filling this site up with pictures and stories about great days on the water. Just hold on man it’s almost here

Sailor if I was stuck in a frozen tundra I'd probably be second guessing myself too. But then later this summer when you're out on the lake you'll be thanking your lucky stars you didn't sell. Glad you decided to hang in there!

IMO,
Boats, motorcycles, vacation homes, RVs, whatever, have a single purpose...enjoyment/enrichment of life.
I try to not look at them as a "must use" or as an "investment" that must pay dividends on a "use" schedule.
They exist to bring joy. If money gets in the way of it, then there is no joy.

There were summers that we didn't get out on our old boat a single time. I hardly ride my motorcycle anymore, and we don't spend nearly enough time at our Florida house to make sense of owning it. But, we'll never sell them.
All it takes is a single ride on the boat, or one incredible evening ride on a the bike, or a single evening in Florida to pay me back for the year. These things exist to remind us how wonderful a day can be, how incredibly fortunate we are, and that alone is priceless.

However, I have a suggestion for you Tusc to maximize your enjoyment....move the boat down to FL and just head down there more. Surely there is some work that can be done remotely. This way you get use of house and boat all at the same time. Your welcome

I guess I'm just spoiled because this weekend it's only supposed to be around 70. I'm like "that sucks, it's too cold to take the boat out this weekend"!! Then I see you guys talking about ice on the lakes and it snowing still where you're at!! LOL

I wish TR, but it’s just not possible yet. We’re running almost 50 employees, and although my we have some great people, it’s a lot to dump on my kid at 24 years old. He’s smart and can definitely handle it without a problem, but it’s just not the long term responsibility I would have wanted at that age. I learned long ago that there is nothing harder to overcome than burn out.
So we take it a week here and a week and a half there.

My daughter lives in DC for now, and that’s ultra hard. We try to have her, and her soon to be fiancé to come home at least once a month.
