I thought it was cool to see circles and arrows on boats of little imperfections noticed here or there down the line. Rick told us that anyone, from the start to the finish can circle, highlight or call out an imperfection, and the boat will cycle back to be corrected. We noticed a flaw in the upholstery lining up correctly on one particular boat near the test tanks and brought to Rick's attention. He made a note of it and said it will be addressed before it goes out. That was pretty neat.

I got that same sense in just a short visit there. We were fortunate enough to have seen the upholstery department working on a “ off day “ to help production for the following Monday.

This pic has stayed with me because I describe to my friends how the stitches are so crucial in Tension, that it dictates the longevity of the panel itself.
She had 3 sets of recently sewn panels aside because it didn’t meet the proper thread tension when tested.
Whaaaat?? Who does that right?
Then I realized it’s her Career, and not just a Job.
I stood next to you when this pic was taken and this still sticks with me.

YT. SAME! I remember this exactly and Rick making a note.

Pro tip - We loce Rick.

You know, I’ve been watching g this thread and the great Kate debate as it unfolds. Here are my conclusions at this point...

At this point, I’m relatively confident that Kate is indeed a Cobalt employee. Plus they have never openly denied be a Cobalt employee.

Given the crafting of the responses, I believe the “Kate” entity is probably someone who is comfortable with answering and interacting with the general public

“Kate” is also someone who is intimate with the history and lesser known details of Cobalt’s history (think wine story). That speaks to potential long tenure with the company.

“Kate’s” familiarity and ease of conversation with this group and willingness to playfully interact indicates that there has some previous extended contact

I doubt it’s Paxton. No offense to the lady in the pictures, but that doesn’t seem right either. More than likely it’s your tour guide—Rick. If memory serves y’all told him about the forums and he promised to check them out. Either that or it’s Joe Pesci

On a side note—mods can you look at the user profile to see where the account was created?

Hercule Poirot would be proud. But, alas, no cigar for you, either.

L sniffed at his booby prize. Perhaps you will be more appreciative:

So, "entity referred to as Kate"....obviously, I didn't get it right and I can live with that and I'm only semi-afflicted with Cobalt-itis compared to some on here, but your reference and comparison to infamous literary characters is appreciated. Based on that, I have a question for you (or two) and the group...

1. Does the name "Erik" hold any special meaning for you or have any connection? If it does, I may garner another guess
2. Have I seen a pink flamingo on this site before (I think I have seen one posted, but can't remember where)

While the group delusion seems to be that "the entity known as Kate" might be a member of senior management at Cobalt (Paxton, Pack, etc), one thing that I don't think anyone has considered is that this could be a member of senior management/Marketing from the new parent company, Malibu. How better to learn your customer than to lurk where they lurk and hide in plain site. Then again, I'm not 100% against the idea that "the entity known as Kate" may be a forum member in disguise.

At least we can potentially rule out Rick....and Joe Pesci. In actuality, Rick may be the first identity that has been definitively ruled out.

Kate--if I figure this out, do I get a new R5? (not enough truck for an R7). I'll give you my R3 back in trade....
