Great color choices NOLA. Everything is really coming together. Seats are going to look great with the teak.

The seats are finished and ready to go in. Here is the back-to-back with arm rests installed and sitting on the engine cover. That is how it sits on the cover....offset so you are looking at the helm seat on thee left. Passenger has the fold-down footrest on the right
IMG_0834.JPG
New fuel gauge is in and working great. Still waiting on the oil sending unit. Not sure why I paid for 2nd day shipping.

So now my biggest problem is lack of labor. I need muscle to lift the engine cover into the boat and place it, then the helm seat and lastly the stern seat. All my friends and family are working. I wish they still allowed laborers to hang around Home Depot. I guess I'll have to wait until Saturday.

Looks good Nola.. I see how you need about 3 people to put it in carefully.. or a hoist and straps.

Post the access to engine folding once you install it.. such a great design!!

Today I got the new oil pressure sender installed. Next I pulled half of the cabinets I just installed and ran a new wire from the ignition switch to the coil. Then I put everything back and cleaned up. I pulled the boat out of the carport and it started right up with good oil pressure. (Wooo Hooo) My plan was to let it run and build some heat in the motor but it was looking like rain so I put it away. I did take a short video of the engine at idle. Click on the YouTube link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qf_iFRv ... e=youtu.be

Hoping to launch Saturday morning, run it a couple of hours with my Brother-in-law following in his boat....just in case. Then I am going to leave it in the water for a few days and do some work on that ugly-ass trailer. Planning to re-bunk and install new fenders.

Soundin’ Good nb99. You’re making some great progress.

I see you have a freshwater attachment on the stern as well like Cmatt’s Donzi. Did you add that?

I put that on 25 years ago. The boat sat in salt water and I rigged to be able to flush the motor while it was/is in the water. Handy....

Those seats came out beautiful. Who did you use for the vinyl upholstery?

I went to a local upholstery shop and they hooked me up with a seamstress that does a lot of cushion work. I removed all of the old vinyl and took them to her and she made the new skins based on my design for the colors and layout. I also went to a local shop for the embroidery. My plan was to but all the skins on the bases myself but getting behind and getting a great deal, I had a woman at the upholstery shop do them on her own time after hours.

All in....material and labor: Embroidery $55; material $320; making the skins $1000; apply the skins $800. Total $2175.
