While in Florida, we saw a set of 19’ Platinums side by side at a dealership in Naples.
We went with white because it will match the boat, and my wife loves pearly white, and of course I’m getting older and since I’m OCD to the max, it should be easier to keep looking new. Actually, I’ve never owned a white truck. Hard choice and I could have gone either way. I could have gone with the red..or the stone gray..or any of them...all very hot, but a waxed up white with tinted windows and a little customizing should look great.

Very cool T. I'm a white diamond or knock out white guy. But the rail dust is a pain. Sorry still can't do the F word thing.

But... go drive an updated 18+ Expedition and tell me you can’t do the F word. Take the family and let them decide on room and ride.
Without bias, the ride quality between our Denali and the Expedition is so noticeable.. Obviously GM is addressing that with the 21’MY. Brake warping was also a problem, and were easy on brakes. My guess is that it couldn’t take the ACC braking
The Ford ECO engine sounds like a whimper V-6, but the torque is instant, better, and and the average fuel mileage is 2+ without being broken in.

Give it a open minded shot my friend. I still have my GMC truck..

You know I've been around gm my whole life and now Mopar. I drive the F thing here and there and I really just don't like anything about the dash, the doors, the console, center stack and radio. Don't get me wrong I think the power the thing makes is great but I can't do the rest. I said that about Mopar and I own 2 of them now

Honestly just the f150.

If you have a chance to drive the redesigned model, give it a shot.
I give you better than 50-50 odds of changing your mind.
I’m a Ford truck guy, but I had no intention of buying an Expedition. We drove one on a whim while waiting on my daughters delayed flight. My wife loved it, and we took a shot. The ride, power and especially the interior room was a pleasant surprise and IMO is superior in every way to the GM.

I'm with Tuscany. Our 2019 Navigator is pretty friggin' amazing all the way around.

Still wish it was a unibody with the unibody highway ride, but nothing's perfect.

I have been surprised by the the peppy F150 V6 Turbo in the Wife’s (our towing) vehicle.. Nice power range, doesn’t miss a beat with the 226 behind.

The 3.5 EcoBoost is an awesome engine, have one in my Wife's Expedition, but the suspension leaves a bit to be desired. If I didn't have my SuperDuty to tow with I would for sure put air bags on the Expy.

Nice Tusc! I love a white truck. Easier to keep clean and looks good all the time. But white seats? That wouldn't work in my world. White seats in the boat is enough for me!

OK. I reread this string and don't think this was talked about much so I'm here for advice.

Current tow vehicle is a '17 Denali (6.2). It's only rated for 8500lbs if memory recalls. So I'm at my limit especially when adding fuel, people, gear, etc. It's "safe" but at the edge of it. The ride leveling really saves it. I'm a GM guy mostly due to habit but also GM discounts.

I'm considering and excited about moving to a pickup.

I test-drove a 2020 GMC HD Sierra Denali with the Duramax at the end of the year for the weekend which included towing the boat, of course. It drove awesome as one would expect. However, I was taken back that it didn't have comfort features that you'd expect these days (adaptive cruise, lane departure, etc). Some understandably don't like these features but I like them on long trips (300+ miles).

I like the 1/2 Ton Sierra Denali and it is a little more comfortable when not towing. It also includes the above missing features. However, it's rating only slightly beats the current truck by a few at 9600lbs. (must be the weight of the Denali as I see other 1/2 ton GM's way above that)

Both vehicles are missing a tachometer in the HUD which has been around forever. Not sure why they dropped that.

I like to over-buy for stuff like this (safety and less tiresome on long hauls) but wondering if the ride-stiffness and lack of features isn't worth it here.
