Any of you guys follow SpaceX? They launched a rocket from Vandenberg AFB this evening, the timing near sunset made it so the exhaust plume was illuminated while it was dark here. Got a good shot of the aftermath from the street in front of my house. One of the local news channels had a helicopter in the air and got some amazing video showing the stage separation and some thrusters firing to spin the first stage around.

Very cool.

Just catching up on all this. I can second everything Tusc says about the winter here. By February the cold is in your bones. Everyone is on edge.

The seasons here are amazing though.

T - i took the kids to see lion king in Buffalo on Thursday. They loved it.
