Hello
I am looking for ideas on how to mount a flag on my 2001 226
I was thinking of putting a flag mounting base where the stern light is ( we never use the stern light), but the hole is too big for the bases I have found.
I have looked at various options and none seem like they would work without drilling into the starboard side near the stern.
Thanks in advance

We ended up getting clips to mount a flag to the stern light on our 1995 220, works fine so far.

I like an economical decision.
It's not too much extra pull on the base, is it?

Thanks, so far it seems quite sturdy. The Attwood 24" aluminum light pole is a weaker link than the heavy stainless base, so seems to me if anything bends or breaks, it would be the ($20) light pole. I am not sure it would be as sturdy with a longer light pole or heavier flag, though.
