Going to be keeping it up at shep browns. Had our current boat there for past 5 years.

There were 2 from the rental fleet for sale, white went under contract recently so grabbed the blue hull one.

Hey MC. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

Great to hear you will be a future Cobalt owner. Be sure to post pics of the R5 next week after you purchase! You’ll love the duoprop. 👍

Any pics of your current boat at shep browns?

Again welcome aboard mate!

Congrats! We must have crossed paths, I saw that R5 when I was up there yesterday as well. It's a great looking boat and really seemed like a steal. Guess we know who the lucky winner is now

Congrats. Give us a captains report this weekend and with pics and a great introduction of your boating life in your new member post!
The DP will get her up on plain. Not sure a sx would be ideal for that boat but hey for years that's all we had was a single prop. Congrats on your new ride.

Thank you! Where in Oklahoma do you boat? I'm from the Tulsa area originally, spent a lot of time on Grand Lake.

Oh cool! We're at Tenkiller. I've only been on Grand a couple of times, but I've been around the lake lots of times looking at properties and I like it. Its quite a bit different from Tenkiller but I like it.

That’s awesome! Can’t go wrong with a Cobalt and either of those lakes

My sister lives in Tulsa. We got into boating partly because we visited her and she had a couple boats on Skiatook Lake. You ever go there?

Welcome from North Georgia! Great looking boat - always love seeing the CS crowd arrive! As a Maine native who grew up on the lakes - you'll love the darker inserts on the interior to keep the bits toasty on those "crisp" days! :D

Big Block Power wrote: Sun May 17, 2020 8:17 pm A R5 with a 300 with a sx drive. Wow I didn't know you could get it that way. Now that's got to be a pig to get out of the hole. Why just why. Even a rental fleet. It doesn't help them sell a new boat. Ok im done.
The lake is peppered with large rocks hidden just below the surface, and the while the water is super clear the dark bottom hides all of it. The lake is very well marked with red and black cardinal markers, but for a rental boater who is unfamiliar with the lake you can get turned around very easily and get in trouble quick. I can totally understand why they would do a single aluminum at a fraction the cost of dual stainless. It will just excite the owners even more if they buy a duo stainless Cobalt after they ride a rental!

After all, they dont call it the granite state for nothin!

Well they just need to put up some signs "No Rocks Just Under the Surface" and that will make them all go away. See problem solved
