How many fenders for an R7?

Another stupid question. How many tenders should I have 4 for one side if the boat or 8 for all around?

My goal is to avoid everyone else. So hopefully not.

For our R5 I only use two 8” fenders per side, if on a single finger dock just 2 fenders on the side against the dock or if a double finger dock 4 fenders total. If tied to another boat I switched and use the 12” round balls. They work much better to keep the boats apart because we can get pretty big waves at times in some of the places we anchor.

Yep agreed. That's why I said 4. Or in car you needed 3 on one side you had it.

Yep. Or put 3 till your comfortable with less. There are only so many spots on the hull that will make contact anyways. You will figure it out.

I have three, actually the extra middle one is in the sweet spot and is most effective.

I have 6 8in in my R7. 4 that have the quick fender clips on them then 2 I can tie up to the mid cleat. Loce the quick fenders but they suck when doing a raft up with others. No 2 boats are the same height so you need the adjustability
