Badass. You can have one with primer and guide coat and still be so cool!

Definitely. Considering the 3/4 ton versions are out there easier we can flat bed it and Power it right.

(I guess I loaded these backwards) Taking care of the underside: after rust repair and B&A blasting. Fast fwd paint and reassembly. I did it all myself so there are a few bugs. And this is a usable car so it is not a concours restoration.
Slick daily driver! A big block.. all you need!!
I appreciate the stock floor pans. A non salted Chevelle is a wonderful thing.

What are you doing for the rear end gear wise? 4:10 with a 28in tire will still be a good daily?
Yes 4.10 and 28s it does help a little more now that I installed a 4L80 with a 4500 stall. After lock up its about 2300 at 63mph on our 2 lanes. Wife will now ride along as it isnt "needing to shift" anymore her words.

Those are some pretty cool Camaros - the ones everyone dreams about. What did the 69 run?

How about the drag truck?

Everyone else those are some cool rides! Wish had pics of my 83 Magna or my DT175

Today’s world of 1800rpm at 70 mph in most vehicles has us spoiled.
I like that you went 4L80 and it fit the trans tunnel. Smart move .

So I dug up some more.

My younger days at Service Center were the start of NMCA and building 7-8 second street cars.
Broke everything on that 69 just to go 8:50s so I decided to race it as I really couldn’t drive long on the street.

Eventually retired her and built a purpose car ,2000 Camaro .

Then the Super Gas truck was an ex Panella Pro Stock we converted over. ( 565 12 degree big chief combo)
She ran 8:70s at 174mph but the 9:90 class kept her alive.

No hot rod or vintage land toy yet but I’m contacting my wife’s dad about buying his 62 corvette this week. He’s getting up there and in a nursing home so I’m trying to find out if my wife’s half sister has any interest as I already know her other siblings don’t. His former wife was the original owner and it’s all original paint, interior, engine, etc. so it’s something I’d like to keep in the family for another generation or two. It’s parked in a heated garage in Montana.

Yes that needs to stay in the family. Its very hard to find an untouched original, preservation is the key to a car like this.

Thought I would show a little love for Dodge crowd! 1973 Dodge Charger with 28,000 on the clock and 2009 Challenger. My son has the 2017 Challenger T/A with a 6 speed manual.

Thats a very nice 73. Is the interior still original?
Its hard to go wrong with modern mopar muscle. Our latest family car was a toss up between a B5 blue/shaker hood/6speed/5.7 Challenger and a black v6 awd Charger. Since the wife drives it 99% of the time we went with the Charger, not that she hasn't driven a rwd clutch car in the winter (80s turbo coupe thunderbird), the Charger is just a tiny bit more practical, but hey it does have 305 hp.

The 73 was purchased by my grandfather new. everything is original except for the paint and the wheels. It came originally with hub caps that were swapped out for the rally wheels in the late 80's. The 09 is a SE, just a fun little "practical" driver.
