Re: February 2021
We got here in early December and will be departing the 1st of March. Hopefully things will warm up a bit by then.

Here's another LOTO ice pic - this one from my neighbor overlooking a couple of the docs at our condo....They have bubblers running but not keeping up except for the one or two slips nearby

Here is a nice drone video of what LOTO looks like right now from this past 2 weeks of severe winter weather and cold. I can tell you in my 38 years on this earth I have never seen the channel at LOTO ice over

Re: February 2021
My personal February boat pic is the same as it's been, safely tucked away in the garage, however the snow/ice falling off the truck is getting near the boat.
However locally we are have a problem with ice load on dock sheds. Pretty much all of our docks have sheds over them and currently the weight of the ice is sinking them, making them unstable. Docks with few boats are sinking, docks with boats still tied to the sheds support the floating ability, but then the roof structure fails and the roof falls. Blue Turtle bay marina (here on Old Hickory) had several sheds collapse, and a neighborhood marina just upstream from them had one fail. Many have walkways being pushed under water. I guess it was a good time to move to a trailer boat!
We generally don't have ice that stick around this long. This is the end of a week of below freezing temps, hopefully this weekend is promising a thaw, and the ones that survived pop back up.
In the meantime, we did get the kneeboard out of the boat, and I have now ridden the kneeboard, 15 weeks out of full rotator cuff surgery! I want to thank my PT people, my shoulder Dr. , My wife for putting up with me....

Re: February 2021
A boat exploded in our local harbor yesterday (Dana Point, CA). Was undergoing maintenance, but no injuries. Several other boats burned.
