Not legal but the kids are always wanting to go so we do it a couple of times each year. There are no patrol boats after 6pm on our lake Monday through Thursday. Normally no sheriff at all during the week, just occasionally the DNR. They just don’t have the budget for it in a county with a population of 29,000 that has 897 lakes.
