Fuel gauge not working

Post by womblesd »

Just yesterday, on 2009 276, my fuel gauge started acting crazy. At times, it showed more fuel than I new I had, then, while refueling it seemed to work ok when I filled it to half full, then after pulling away from marina, it showed more than full. Any ideas on what might cause this and how to fix?

Apears to be a bad sender Or internally grounding causing your full sweep.

If can peek through you acess panel you may make sure those wires are secure and the dash gauge wire hasn’t giggle loose and touching.
Then it’s sending unit time.

Could be a connection. Prob a bad sender. They are cheap and a easy fix. You will have a access door to get at it. About 6 screws that hold it in place.
