Carpet for my 262
Hey Captains,
I bought my new to me 2003 262 a month or so ago and introduced myself. I have been trying to decide what to do with the floor. It did not come with any carpet, I wanted to add sea deck or something of the like but before I spent $2000 I was wondering if anyone knew of any OEM carpet for sale. I'm looking at you BBP. You seem to be able to find anything. Thanks again fellas.

BB can find anything! But I would put a post up on the Facebook Cobalt page and ask if anyone replaced their carpet with seadek this winter. You might get lucky!

Ahah that's awesome. I can get you full set by August first. But it will cost you. Matt and I work as a great team.cycleslinger99 wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2020 6:02 pm Hey Captains,

I pulled my carpet out of my 220. My kids crumbs are much easier to deal with without it

Re: Carpet for my 262
If I lived in the south and it gets so darn hot where it burns your feet I would remove it also. I remember having my 200 on TRL it almost started on fire. Ok not quite but I was going to remove it down there. I'm not a fan of the nonskid though.ajcampen wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2020 8:03 pm I pulled my carpet out of my 220. Not sure how tides your friends and extended family are about shoes.. sandals.. etc
We recently had one of the owners boats with light grey sea deck.
It will be difficult to wear flip flops or the evil sneakers without leaving scuff marks.
Foam padded floors are maintenance enough on the platform.
Go to matworks and look a light colored sea grass or carpet.
Just a thought.

I have a complete carpet set from my 2005 263 in and new condition with the factory snaps I will sell. I will be going to my lake house this weekend where it is stored in our spare bedroom. I will take some pictures and send them to you. What's your email address? Chris

Bingo. There ya go! I wonder if the bow piece is the same on a 262 as it is a 263? The only issue may be with the snaps not lining up. Normally a guy wouldn't install the snaps on a redo until its laid in the floor, and then you match them with what is screwed into the deck. But I bet there is a workaround.

I don't believe there is a bow piece with my carpet set as the cuddy has its own permanent carpet. Its just the aft/engine hatch walk thru and cockpit

Very true W263. The snap locations will be similar but may require some tweaking to make those pieces fit on another 262 or 263. When we replaced our 262 gray carpet with the rare Admiral blue carpet from Cobalt, we had to slightly tweak some areas. (Btw, not to be confused with twerk bbp)

Re: Carpet for my 262
Another option is to make your own template and get carpets made. I did this with a local upholstery shop, and had them order seagrass in a roll from Infinity Woven Products. Used sunbrella binding material as well.
Actually they had my old carpets to use, but you can make your own templates out of plastic sheeting. I installed the snaps myself after the carpets were made, to have it all line up perfectly with the snap locations already in the floor. This all at a shocking lower price than anyone will sell you full sets for online.

Tin man that turned out really good. Yes the material isn't that costly. The seagrass is easy to cut as well. Hardest part would be getting the edging sewn on. They sell it on eBay too. I was going to get teak looking infiniti seagrass mat.JTinMO wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2020 11:48 am Another option is to make your own template and get carpets made.
