As bobrae Mentioned in the other r series thread. Make sure the dealer got you the deal on the 380 engine upgrade at the 350 price. Let's add some more stuff now 😂😂

Everyone one always says I wish it was 2 ft smaller with a smaller engine. I think that's how it goes 😂😂🤔

It's odd we had a bunch of 20 ft boats and they were good. But then we did a trip to TRL and it was just small. It performed perfect just small for the group we have that boat with us. So I went to the 22 ft boat and I think this is the 3rd or 4th or so year with it. I have no desire to get larger right now. It just works. Till you get in it and use it you don't know. When I was on tgrace98 r7 it didn't feel big it just felt right. It's kind of that odd thing once your on it. Is it something I would buy right now no. I just don't have a need for one that big. It's how we use our boat and I think 22 is perfect.
When it's just my wife and I it will be a go fast 26 to 28 ft donzi prob but who knows that's close to 5 to 10 years away.

They are. No doubt it will be way better. I came from a crownline. I will never go back. I'm a Cobalt snob for life 😊

Here I am... been busy at work. Here is our all white with a black boot stripe R5. I never would have that I would own a white boat, I don’t like anything white but I sure like this boat! We get a ton of compliments both on and off the water too! It’s an old picture because its now stuck at my dealer with all of this covid crap going on...

Sweet! A friend of ours just bought a r7 with the 430 in the same scheme. I wanted to get a nice trailer but settled for a venture Comm7300! We changed our r5 to be all black no boot stripe with a white tower and black canvas! Do you have the 380? How do you like the boat so far? handle the rough stuff well?

Thanks

I have a paragraph written on the first page in this post. Yes I do have the VP 380 and wouldn’t go any smaller, but that’s just me. The picture is of my old EZLoader trailer. I currently have a Loadmaster custom built trailer but it is stuck at my dealer now. I brought it down there a couple weeks ago to have the slide rails installed so I can lower my bimini with the new slide rail system available. Everything is installed but they have to do some work to the cover so it will fit with the new way the rear posts of the bimini attach to the slide rails. The dealer wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to keep the service department open during the stay at home orders we are all face with. It’s sitting in their shop so I guess it’s no different than sitting in my shed...

No cc on my boat, sorry to disappoint you BB... I took this R5 off the showroom floor so I didn’t have any say in the options. It is pretty well equipped for a stock boat so I don’t have any complaints. Minnnesota doesn’t allow cc anyway so it doesn’t really matter to me.

Yeah, I’ve seen people cruise through a no wake at 1/4 throttle without being looked at but if another person flips the CC on while idling through the same no wake then it’s lights and sirens! :o :o
