Lake season closed? Possibility?

Post by ps06272 »

Would love to hear thoughts on this. Can they take away the outdoors? They are shutting down beaches. Can they take away the water?

I’m not even willing to discuss this. Although, it’s a state maintained item so probably. Just stay six feet away from one another.

I think getting out on the water is a good thing and just stay away from others all good. Go and relax but I have ice so I can't even think about it yet.

I definitely don't want to discuss lol I'm fortunate enough to have a place to go where some sort of normal can be had. Hard to imagine they would take that away. I guess I could understand house boat rental not being available.

I'm in Kentucky so mid May is typical time for putting the boat in.

I have to be honest, I contemplated calling storage and asking them to get it out so I know I have it for the right time. At the same time not sure I want it sitting the yard right now.

Boating for some require on water services for fuel etc. ( marina stored and home lifts).
With Marina’s closing as non essential it will leave an obvious impact.
I’m not towing our 282 with my Avalade 🤣.

Again social distancing in a boat doesn't leave you much room either?

Barren River Lake. And as far as marina being non essential...now I'm getting concerned. Freedom used to be so much fun.

I know you can’t use your CC or your 2x 430’s (BBP 😜) but filler up if you can and just push out and enjoy the sound of the waves lapping the hull. Still relaxing know matter what you say.

Fill your tank and start buying all the non-ethanol you can. I'm sitting on 50 gallons in the garage. Obviously I wont be spending anytime blowing boost this spring haha. The 496 will be more of a 9.9

We also boat in Ky. I am thinking that every place that we normally put in is a state park or national recreation area so they could certainly close. When we go, usually it’s just the two of us. Since we camp, the only encounter we would have with someone would be in checking in at the campground. But if they close, who knows. Let’s just hope the situation improves before the season starts.
